The game I had created for my final project involves a character that the player has control over, whose goal is to make it to the other side. They must successfully pass-through four lanes of traffic without getting hit. As explained at the starting screen of the game, if the character gets hit by a car they will be reset to their original position. If the character finds itself off-screen they will lose the game and have to start over from the starting screen. Winning involves the character successfully making it across the finish line. Once across the player will be told they won, and be given the amount of time it took them to get across.
I had a really positive experience in creating this game. Being able to start from scratch with just the moving box (which I was so proud to have work on my first try) to having the completed playable game was something I had never done or experienced before. I'm proud that for the most part, I was able to get from point A to point B on my own. I asked questions and asked for help when I felt it completely necessary because I couldn't move on my own. But for every question I had, I made sure I had attempted on my own and at least had the foundation of what I was attempting to do.
Overall I think my game was a success. The class seemed to enjoy it and reacted well to the game. It was fun seeing people enjoy something I had created from scratch.
